Re: Any plan for à third édition ?

In general the All out attack option is not much used by my players anyway: they'd do anything to have a higher attack roll, rather than lower + more damage.

Re: Any plan for à third édition ?

Critical hits: I think there could be an optional rule to deal critical hits not only when you roll a double 6, but also when your attack roll is much higher than needed to hit, for example when between your attack roll and your opponent's attack roll (after all bonuses and penalties are applied) th...

One way or the other, I hope this will be improved as it is an obvious weakness.

Re: Tweaks and clarifications to the new AFF rulebook

Yeah you can't take that section out of the rulebook until an updated OotP is done. Including a set of common monsters in the rulebook is a pretty good idea, and 20 might be enough. But as long as OotP isn't able to be reworked you still need the AFF2 stats for all the OotP creatures in the ruleboo...

Re: Tweaks and clarifications to the new AFF rulebook

In general the section of AFF core rulebook that explains how to manage Out of the Pit is pretty poor. I understood that there are some reasons linked to rights etc. for doing that poor thing, ut it doesn't change the fact that it makes players think that the job was done unprofessionally and in an ...

Re: Tweaks and clarifications to the new AFF rulebook

-At character generation, new players get regularly confused when it is time to "buy" Special Skills: how many they can buy, which level and which ones are available for their race. -Rolling opposed rolls when using ranged weapons is quite counterintuitive as an arrow doesn't help you to both attack...

I'll be there and I'm doing one of the demo games. Anyone up for it?
Unfortunately this year I won't have the pleasure, as I'll be on another continent....

Re: WOFTM session. Fun stuff an Analysis.

Most Fighting Fantasy books were meant to be playable and beaten with either minimal or no combat. WOFTM is supposed to be one of those books. Where did you find this statement? It doesn't match my experience with FF gamebooks and, in general, it would be strange calling "Fighting Fantasy" a series...
