Re: City random encounter

There are also Monster Encounter Tables for Towns and Town Sewers in Beyond the Pit (p. 159; includes monsters from Out of the Pit) and Return to the Pit (p.222). I said in BTP if you roll a SPECIAL on the Blacksand people table (p.93) then you can roll on the Town Monster charts.

Re: Third issue submissions

Looks great - awesome way to combine Stellar Adventures, Titan, and the Pit into one campaign! Starship Troopers and Knights of Telak versus the minions of the Snake Demons. Maybe you could signpost Directors to the world creation systems of Heroes Companion, Stellar Adventures and Rough Guide to th...

Re: Second issue submissions

Good to see it's getting there! I saw John Kapsalis has already done a Giant Tortoise/Turtle pic for the Denizens of Pit article, which looks great! Thanks John! Just FYI I'm working on a Chelonian picture for the same article. Just starting inking it, so hopefully done this week. :-) Space will be...

I've just added the issue 2 Denizens of the Pit article to the folder, by Damian May and myself.

Working on art for it now. :-)

I made a 'Beyond the Pit' folder in the above link and uploaded the document as a PDF and DOC, plus the Palatino and Moria Citadel fonts used. Currently working on the art.

Re: Text thread

The Beyond the Pit article is almost done. Where do I send/upload it?

Also, I'm going to try and sort the art out for it too. Hopefully finished soon. :-)

Re: What's Next on the Horizon for AFF2e?

Hopefully it won't take as long as Return to the Pit! What it looks like so far: Chapter 1: Intro. Using pre-existing skills/talents/rules plus 6 new archetypes. DONE Chapter 2: Treasure generation system including new Creature Treasure Table (treasure split into Coins, Gear, Treasure, Magic), plus ...

Re: Text thread

I was thinking of working on the Monster/Pit section this weekend. Something suitably weird, epic, and non-canon: CHAOS DRAGONS! Specifically, Yellow (acid breathers, swamps and marshes), Orange (wind breathers, deserts and wilderness) and Purple (mutant-plague infectors, chaos wastes, deep jungle, ...

Re: What's Next on the Horizon for AFF2e?

Thanks for the responses and offers of editing! :-) Once it's done, I will take you up on them. It will hopefully be the first in a series of magic compendiums (maybe a little bigger than the Herbal but smaller than Beyond the Pit) Some answers to questions: The items are from the first 10 books in ...

Re: Defining Medicinal Potions

Ironically, I'm currently working on a magic items book for AFF which will have a summary of all the Medicinal Potion/Blimberry Juice info in it. In fact I'll be adding entries on all Sorcery! components, as for example, you can Green-Furred Wigs in RAP and YAP spells but in the original FF RPG ther...

Re: Does anyone know of any maps of Chalice?

Hi Damian,

I don't think there's an official map of Chalice. The best place for info is Titannica here:

https://fightingfantasy.fandom.com/wiki/Chalice

I also found 2 fan maps (based on Port of Peril, which has the most Chalice info) on FB here (by James Kail and Dave Gillson)

Hope that helps! :-)
