Re: Fun creature features, tricks and habits?

Do you have some of the Pit books? These are overflowing with creatures, all of which are firmly rooted in Titan.

Re: Starship special skills

As SkinnyOrc says it depends on the ship and the characters roles. Are they the only crew of the ship or the officers in charge of a crew? Minimum you need a crew to have people with the following skills I think: Astronavigation Communications Computers Engineering Pilot - Space Planetary Navigation...

Re: Hi All - new stuff?

We should count our blessings indeed :-).

Don’t sweat about the other books. They are great but the core rule book has everything you need, it’s a great package in and of itself!

Re: Magic Specialisation questions.

The reason why someone would become a specialist is to access new spells which are unavailable outside that specialty. Usually a player should have reached a certain level in Wizardry or Sorcery before they take an additional specialty. When you get the chance the best book for this is the Hero’s Co...

Big thumbs up for the Hero’s Companion, Blacksand and the Titan Herbal. They are jam packed with great additional information and rules.

Re: Good Necromancy Spells?

You are correct Chompy, there is a specific Oops! table in the Hero’s Companion. I would use a combination of this Oops! Table and the standard wizard one, using the necromancy version when using those types of spells (including raise skeleton from the standard rules) and then the usual one at all o...

Re: Good Necromancy Spells?

Good point, then it becomes a question of what you do with the tool rather than if the tool in question is inherently evil. Even among the wizard spells for players there are some “Evil” spells: Raise skeleton obviously but also Death or Assassin’s dagger. In the Hero’s Compendium it does say that “...

Re: Good Necromancy Spells?

In the priestly spells you have Banish which seems to fit the bill exactly, Priests of Usrel (Godess of peace) get it. Also priests of Filash (God of fire) have Smite vs Undead. Does that help? Another question is how long can anyone play around with necromancy before going to the dark side? An inte...

Re: Hi All - new stuff?

There is a wealth of stuff on this forum if you have the time to search. The community has waves of frenetic creativity and as a result some really great stuff has been made over the years. The fanzine Warlock (first issue published this summer) is also sharing new stuff. The first issue didn’t have...

Re: Troika!

I must admit that I like the idea of Troika but the setting and artwork are just too odd for me to get my head round. I can’t picture it and submerge myself in the story. That said I picked up a copy of Warlock! A great little light system, the careers could be easily adapted to AFF. Same for the sc...

Re: Where Would I Find ... ?

Nuvole is right I think about the only official mention of something Mayan/Central America ish being in the nightshriek jungle. But in the canon the culture is now village based and living height in the trees. So you could build something round that by either making another city based culture in the...

Sounds really interesting, shame it’s on Amazon who I personally loath. Otherwise I would have really liked to listen to it!
