Re: Allansian Sorcery
That’s a nice surprise, looking forward to seeing this come out! What will be in the complete volume?

Re: Question about Natural Mage Talent
I would say so.
That said I know that a house rule Talent of “Natural Hedge Mage” has been suggested in the past to cover minor magic. Don’t know if then you would split that off, usually minor magic a formality for a real Mage anyway.

Re: Allansian Sorcery
For the chronology I don’t think those two have a strict in universe chronology, anyone else know?

Re: Allansian Sorcery
Nice! Do you have the spell effects?
I’ve always stayed away from Sorcerer characters because of the need to learn the long list of spells but this presents a nice alternative: Short list and with its own backstory.

Re: Allansian Sorcery
I must admit that I don’t have an extensive knowledge of the Sorcery spells. Is this a subset or a different list?
Are you suggesting that there is a different tradition of Sorcery which has grown in Allansia after it was introduced from the Old World?

Re: Medusa
Or being the director you can also just drop someone in if they want to create their own.
You could have Percy Le Grecque Medusa Hunter Extraordinaire turn up upset because the party already got it but then joins the party to right the wrong of their petrified companion.

Re: Medusa
I second Nuvole’s suggestion, create a second character who is tied to the plot of de-petrifying the original character. Could be someone they are close to or someone who has another reason to want to help them by joining a quest as a guest character. Then they can leave the story and come back agai...

Re: Medusa
The Titan Herbal is your friend here! Medusa Grass: A shot grass with shiny grey-green leaves and small black flowers. Found on planes across Titan. It explains how to use it to reverse pétrification. Works both against effects from creatures (Basalisk and Medusa) as well as against spells. So perha...

Re: Counterspell
Perhaps approach it from another approach: how do magic users experience magic? For example when someone is casting a spell can other magical users see/sense the forces being gathered together? This means you would not have twice Counterspell because Counterspell is dispersing the magical energies i...

Re: Maelstrom Manors Book for AFF
Yep that pretty much sums up what I’m aiming to do. Started jotting some things down but going to try and bring it all together.
Thanks for the tips with the d100 table, think I’ll use the plain d66.

Re: Maelstrom Manors Book for AFF
I agree with you that the books are great to read. Beautiful artwork which gives you a great feeling of the time and excellent and entertaining writing. The thoughts which I had: - move towards d6 for everything (to align more with AFF as Maelstrom uses d100, d10 etc). - advice on different communit...

Maelstrom Manors Book for AFF
In case you are not following Arion Games other line Maelstrom then I thought I’d make a recommendation for you. Maelstrom Domesday Manors Book, absolutely fantastic little piece of work. It basically gives you a toolset to create a detailed village with villagers and its own history. The book is ai...
