Another trick I use to flesh out a town or a castle is simple: I use a real world place, and try to extrapolate from it. You're talking about an undead town, which means that it was alive some day. So, let's take a real life location, like this castle in Italy: buying it is not needed, the pictures ...

Looks like a great adventure to me, I'd play the hell out of it! Would you mind me playing a shortened (without the elements of your greater scale story) version with my group? It looks like we could do a quick game based on it, and I can't write short stories even if my life depended on it.

It's always cool to see that kind of contaptions to play RPGs anywhere at any moment! My friends and I played chess like that in school :mrgreen: and I'll see if I can find it, but I do remember seeing a picture of US soldiers/Marines (hell if I know) playing D&D with scrap items as figs and a sharp...
