Re: The Caves of Death (a short adventure)

Thanks guys. By the way, I'd love to hear how it goes if anyone does end up using this. In the fine tradition of FF, I am going to claim there is One True Way through the adventure which involves a minimum of risk; any Hero(es), no matter how weak, should be able to get through without too much diff...

The Caves of Death (a short adventure)

Here's a short scenario - nothing innovative but it contains a few risk-reward judgements and tactical combat options. It should be easy enough to drop into most games without much adjustment. Anyway, it is what it is. Caves of Death, The.zip Apologies for zipping such a small file, but the forum wo...

Re: Encyclopedia of Titan?

I love maps of fantasy worlds. These maps look great. Couple of questions. These drafts will get one more tweak and notes added before being made available for you plot info on and compile your own map sets... Will you be posting them here, or elsewhere online? The big trick is the one that you can'...

I only describe what the character perceives.

This is the correct answer. The default assumption of AFF is 'combat as war', not 'combat as sport'.

Re: Combat questions. Dodge, Fight defensively.

Can he roll SKILL + Dodge special skill in melee combat to avoid a hit? I'd allow this, but the dodger doesn't get to cause any damage if they win the round. Their Attack Strength effectively becomes a 'Defence Strength' instead. When a player is engaged in melee combat with an NPC and is then shot...

It's been a while without an update (unless I've missed it).
Does anyone know if the project is still ongoing?

Re: So what's next? :)

All of the above sounds cool.
Other than that, a GM Screen might be nice.

Re: What could be a suitable Titan deity for...

Taking inspiration from the Granted Powers seems reasonable. Glantanka (Sun) and Filash (Fire) grant the ability to Smite undead, indicating an active antipathy towards them. Usrel (Peace) offers Banish and Ward as powers, implying an antipathetic although less proactive attitude to the undead. Othe...

Crown of Kings Campaign - Mampang Map Error?

The map of Mampang on p84 doesn't show any way to enter locations #26 & #27. Has a door been missed from the map? The text in #25 says, "If the heroes...try to pass through..." I think this implies connecting door is meant to be in this room. However it doesn't seem as though #25 is a brilliant way ...

Re: More on Scifi AFF2

I'd prefer the toolkit approach too. Including a range of sample settings like those provided in Mini-Six or All Flesh Must Be Eaten would make this a 'must buy' for me. I don't really want a default setting with every kind of sci-fi uncomfortably shoehorned in.

Re: Tell Me About the Setting of Titan & Allansia

The Sorcery Campaign? I can see the Crown of Kings campaign on the website, but that's it Same thing, pretty much. The Sorcery! series of FF gamebooks has been adapted into the Crown of Kings RPG campaign. The campaign is named after the fourth and final Sorcery! gamebook. The campaign's pretty goo...
