Anyone in northern England with kids should use them as an excuse to visit The Forbidden Corner - which always reminds me of the weird, fairytale, jumble of encounters in the early FF books.

Re: Titan TV...
I don't personally think of Titan as exclusively Asian-flavoured. Perhaps I'm reading things the wrong way. No, but I think that Eastern-Western 'fusion' is underplayed in a lot of Fighting Fantasy stuff. I mean, you have a couple of East Asian flavoured societies, but they are a bit isolated. More...

Re: Outnumbered combat rules
Therefore I only count opponents who actually need to roll an Attack Strength for the purposes of outnumbering. Thanks Gloccus (a long wait for a reply, I know). I think this is exactly the right solution. Again, it reinforces the fact that AFF combat is "simultaneous" - everything in an round happ...

Re: Occupations
Come back more often! :) Well then I won't have all this good stuff saved up for me! But yeah, keeping places like this lively is very important. If people considering picking up AFF visit this forum, I hope they'd get the (correct) impression that there is a lively and active community. [And with ...

Re: AFF One-shot stories/ideas
If anyone has any stories or adventure hooks to share then I'd love to hear them. Possibly doesn't quite fit your request, but I thought that AFF Directors might be able to make some use of the AS&SH Adventure Generator: http://www.hyperborea.tv/uploads/4/4/6/6/44662451/asshrandom-adv-gen.pdf I've ...

Recovering LUCK
Reading some old posts on my favourite blogs, I re-read Daniel Sell's post on LUCK. (Daniel is the author of Troika!, incidentally). http://whatwouldconando.blogspot.co.uk/2016/07/fighting-fantasy-luck.html Now, I've been toying with the idea of borrowing from Fate the idea of Aspects. Now, I've use...

Re: Mauristatian Gazteer
Maybe mauristatia is on a plateau surrounded by jungle but is an isolated culture similar to the gothic horror setting as seen in these books and the hammer and the black and white universal horror films of Boris Karlof bella lugosi and vincent price. dark forests looming castles and lots of the ch...

Re: Arhallogen and Hmurresh
so what shapechange options do you think should be available? OOTP has common giant fly, needle fly and fire fly. One thing I'd definitely try to work in there is the possibility for the bad guys to transform into SWARMS of flies or spiders. The idea of being overrun by a cloud of flies or a heavin...

Re: Occupations
This is a new option for AFF2 character generation. This is great. Are the people on this board aware that Kevin Dale posted a list of WFRP-based AFF careers on Google+? I'm sure some of you are - they assigned starting Special Skills and Equipment ('trappings'). Every time I come back to this boar...

Arion AFF 'house style'?
I've noticed a few people have uploaded their adventures/house rules etc. using a font and layout that very closely resembles the Arion AFF 'house style'. Does someone have a template (or similar) that they could share?
