I'm not sure this can work at every level, as in D&D the experience required is always higher and higher while you level upper and upper.
Maybe it can be OK for the first 3 or 4 levels.

Re: Blacksand - Status

Did you think about adding a conversion for AFF of the gamebook "The City of Thieves" (see also viewtopic.php?f=13&t=370)?

Re:

That is the plan. Hopefully by the end of this year, we will rerelease most of that book, with some new Steve Luxton maps and some additional material to cover both Blacksand itself and general city adventures. And pirates Sorry, I'm not sure I got it right: are you saying that you will rerelease t...

Re: Myriador d20 modules

Re: Simple proposal for managing weapon and armor rolls

Hmmm... I guess the same can be said about your armor rolls: if you have lost a turn, chances are that you scored low, so your armor roll will be probably on the low end as well...
I can see your point.

Simple proposal for managing weapon and armor rolls

AFF2 added the "complication" of having to roll extra dices for weapon and armor rolls (depending if you hit ot miss...). After a bit of practice I realized that it is more straightforward to roll two different coloured dice (red and green, for example?) in battle and then, for example, the red dice...

Marrangha witchcraft / magic

I'm currently going through "Creature of Havoc", that is set in Allansia and I found that marrangha witchcraft / magic described in it (it is mostly about magically swapping lims between creature and other similar dark magic) is not properly captured in AFF nor in heroes companion (or did I miss it?...

Re: Hive Aliens

I really like them, but before printing I changed a bit the colors, as they are a bit too dark and the detail doesn't come up enough on paper...;-)

I think I'll soon use this as well, but probably as a solo game... why don't you upload it on the fan material section? it's really awesome!

Re: AFF for other Settings

On ThePiazza there is a discussion about marrying the setting and flavour of "Magic: the Gathering", a collectible card game, to a RPG ( http://www.thepiazza.org.uk/bb/viewtopic.php?f=44&t=8865&p=121503#p121503 ). I had a good thought about this issue and I came to the conclusion that M:tG setting, ...

Re: HEROES COMPANION BOOKS

Personally, I can see some kind of "Rules Cyclopaedia" sindrom creeping up: you have quite a lot of bits and pieces in various books, with some inconsistency between them (for example in "Out of the Pit you don't have clarified what amount of damage every monster deals, because at the time each of t...
