Re: Linking FF gamebooks for campaign play

I've been working on fleshing out a potential three story arc for an Advanced Fighting Fantasy campaign. My first plan is - Caverns of the Snow Witch -> Forest of Doom -> Temple of Terror This story arc is perfect and has been "engineered" by the authors to be connected like this (just read the boo...

Re: My next AFF game...

I'm converting the Caverns of Snow Witch, with some addition from Fighting Fantazine adventure "Return to Icefinger Mountains"(issue #9, if I remember well)... In the meanwhile the first Act of my adventure-cycle for "inexperienced" adventurers is coming to closure, so after that I'll post this firs...

Re: Creature of Havoc

That´s one of the best, but it´s too one of the most challenging ,difficult and frustrating ever... OH YES... I never beat it. I got stuck at those @!%&*# Toad Men and died. :( Early on you met two persons fighting... you need to take the right side in that... Toadmen are quite forward in th...

Creature of Havoc

I just re-read Creature of Havoc, that I think it's the best gamebook EVER and I had a thought. Suggesting a conversion into an AFF adventure module is normal and easy, but I think this book has enough information and background to be turned into a gazetteer - mini campaign, where you don't necessar...

I remember it being not bad as dungeon bashes go.
Is it worth getting the book only for that?

Re: AFF1e ruleset question

I'm currently running through the Riddling Reaver (as a player) right now and I'm enjoying it greatly!
(I also have the book, but I'll open it after we complete the adventure, IF we can complete the adventure...)

This is a very long and detailed review in Italian, covering lots of aspects of the ruleset, including its history and how it has been "modernized" with AFF2e for new players.

AFF1e ruleset question

I recently came across this book by Steve Jackson http://www.amazon.co.uk/Fighting-Fantasy-Introductory-Role-playing-Game/dp/0140317090/ref=sr_1_47?ie=UTF8&qid=1365700176&sr=8-47&keywords=fighting+fantasy http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51EAWm%2BewWL._SL500_AA300_.jpg and I feel confused. Re: Blacksand - Status

Are the small adventures set in Port Blacksand from the Dungeoneer and Blacksand! incorporated?
And how about the City of Thieves and Midnight Rogue?

Or is it a more descriptive book / gazzetteer, like Titan?
