I think the only bit that could be slightly improved is the map...

I just recently discovered that FF gamebooks actually HAD a RPG system attached (AFF) and I'm now having a look around, but if Arion would be happy to host fan made adventures, I think I'll definitely go for it, sooner or later...

I'm not American, nor British (although I'm European...) and I can see a "kind" of dark, gritty tone in FF, with characters never really becoming "superheroes" or overpowered compared to the world around them, with, basically, no resurrections, or super powerful spells, while in D&D you can literall...

Personally, I like too having characters that start from zero ("fighting rats and cocroaches"), before improving gradually, rather than start immediately with "saving the world every other day"... sounds more realistic to me...

This was the first FF book I bought! We organized the three of us friends so that each kid would buy one book and then exchange with all the others, so The City of Thieves was mine and I washed the dishes for my mum for two weeks in order to buy it!!! The others were The Forest of Doom and The Warlo...

Very personally, I think that the familiarity issue is a double-edged sword: it helps attracting some player that has fond memories of the gamebooks (like me...), but then if you propose only gamebooks conversions it may turn out to be something "already done"... Best strategy could be proposing a m...

Hello, I would like to set up a quick start play by post and I'm looking with interest at applying these rules. I'm looking for starting with a totally inexperienced party of farmers / peasants that in time MAY become respected adventurers, so their starting scores should be low. I wonder if I shoul...

Rhinomen!

A race that I find very typical of AFF (at least I haven't found it anywhere else...) is the Rhinoman. I'm OK with it being a kind of cheap mercenary race, as greed, not very bright and not too strong, but I'm not aware if there is further flavor or information about them. This could be considered a...
