Re: From Firetop to Blacksand
Depends a lot on how you estimate the distance and how well-prepared and mobile the party is. I've got it down as being about a ten day trip from Blacksand to Salamonis, and seems to be roughly the same distance from Blacksand to the Moonstone Hills. https://puu.sh/G2AUB/310f6b4525.png On foot given...

Re: Does anyone know of any maps of Chalice?
That does look cool!
I'd already made a start (2/5 districts sketched out) on the Chalice map in Krita, so I'll stick with it for now. I'm going for something like the classic Blacksand map. Not sure at all how close I'll get, but that's the goal.

Re: What's Next on the Horizon for AFF2e?
Even a more limited license would be interesting (adventures only, no rules supplements?). Or some sort of standardised submissions/approval route... Writing adventures to run is one thing, but the work involved in expanding on the notes to make them adventures other people can run might happen more...

Re: Does anyone know of any maps of Chalice?
Wouldn't be so sure! I'm fairly new to map making myself. I'm happy to add it here when it's done though, since I was going to be making the thing soon anyway. :) With not many areas covered in the books I'm extrapolating a lot to make the rest of the city but hopefully it's still useful to you or a...

Re: Does anyone know of any maps of Chalice?
Chalice is the main location for the campaign I'm currently running so if there is a map of it I'd also be super interested. Found lots of maps of the area surrounding Chalice, but none of the city itself. I've been fleshing the city out for the adventures (districts, notable premises, etc) while tr...

Re: Multiple layers of armour
Under, Medium and Over makes for a nice 'slot' system to formalise how I've generally been considering it, though it's not really come up in any games yet. Layering one thing over another makes sense... if they've been designed for it. Being able to express that in more simple terms is great - three...

Re: Stellar Adventures @ Airecon 2020
I've found the cheat sheet and quick reference tables in these threads to be pretty useful though they may be out of date. Might be good inspiration for the sorts of things that would be useful on the back of a screen, though? http://www.arion-games.com/bb/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=2399&p=10943&hilit=che...

Re: Fly and Levitate
Someone mentioned a climb spell... I had a magical item in an adventure that lets you walk on any solid surface at any angle - cliffs, ceilings, etc. Though you had to always have contact with the surface, or you'd fall, so running wasn't really possible. Might work as a good 'climbing' spell? Also ...

Re: My homebrew - Weird Spells
I don't want to post up the full spell list my current bad guys are using just yet in case my players spot it at some point, but I still think it's fun to come up with new ideas. :P Death spell is one that I'd not thought to combine, though it could be interesting especially with what you mention ab...

Re: My homebrew - Weird Spells
The idea for this, for me at least, did originally spring from trying to give a particular villain group some unique spells using the rules for +1 to +6 personalisation. Since they were all part of the same group they all had the spells personalised in the same way. And at that point it was a short ...

Re: My homebrew - Weird Spells
Mechanically, no difference to a standard Fog spell as it's just a minor illusion added to it... unless AFF has added some morale rules I've forgotten about. Though I would have any characters act more afraid of it were I the Director (or really getting into my role as a Hero). Any heroes (or their ...

My homebrew - Weird Spells
I’d like to share a bit more of the mix-up of 1st, 2nd and homebrew I've been running. Hopefully it’ll be useful/interesting to other folks, plus I'd be interested to hear any feedback and suggestions. I don't own every 2E rulebook yet, plus I've not been on the forum super long, so if this has alr...

Re: what do you give Luck for?
Something a little outside the box is that you could reward luck for good roleplaying. If it's something you want to encourage. If the players act in a way that fits their character, or really fits with the world, maybe you can give them a LUCK point or two. Same for other good behaviour like not ex...

Love Wheelies! Though when I imagine metal armour for them I can't help but think of those foil-wrapped chocolate coins.

My Homebrew - Getting Lucky
Sorry for the pun title. Also not sorry. I've been using a mix-up of 1st, 2nd and homebrew in a campaign I've been running. I thought sharing might be useful/interesting to other folks, plus I'd be interested to hear any feedback and suggestions. I don't own every 2E rulebook yet, plus I've not bee...
