Re: Myriador d20 modules

although of course it isn't based off any of the books. I actually would prefer to see more stuff not "based off any of the books" truth be told. FF has a great history of stories told via the gamebooks, but I'd love to see more "new" stuff...you know, "just for AFF" stuff. I like that AFF looks to...

Re: Advanced Fighting Fantasy Announcement

That's some terrific news!

Oh, on the pushed back release dates...all I can say is: Later and Better always beats Quicker and Crappier. So take your time, my money will wait for you :P

Re: AFF Companion - Status

No offense taken at all. All I meant was that Dr Who and the One Ring might be neat games, but they dont get played and therefor get stuck in the closet (where RPGs in the skathros house go when they arnt going to be used). Now AFF? Now THAT does get used. Every two weeks. So c'mon C7, gimme my AFF ...

Both are neat games...that sit in my closet. Now AFF gets PLAYED! You hear that C7? The One Ring? Dr Who? In closet. AFF? At the game table!

If a Monster Book II were to come out, i'd certainly buy it and get use out of it! I see it kinda like D&D's Monster Manual II or Fiend Folio...sure, your standard fare was all in the first Monster Manual, but sometimes you just wanted that something special that could only be found in either MMII o...

Looking to the futur!

Well, I don't know if i'm alone in this experiance, but as time goes by, the tumultuous whirlwind of trying this RPG or that in order to find "the best" one has sort of settled with age. At this point, I find myself content with a few RPGs I deem "right for me". One of these happens to be AFF (the o...

It might just be me, but I don't really see the "darker tone" often alluded to (not just by you, spaceLem, but the same has been said by other posters and on blogs). Warhammer? Yes! Dragon Age? Yes! But FF/AFF? I don't know, but I just dont see it.

In my game, i've found that this pretty much balances the two spells.
