Re: Lying FF intro's(semi-rant)

Yes, those sound like errors due to alterations of the plot. Like I said, it happens more often than not that no matter how carefully a book is checked for mistakes, one inevitably slips through. I think if the deception was intentional as a plot point, mention should have been made of the discrepan...

Re: Lying FF intro's(semi-rant)

I don't think you need to worry too much about spoilers - these books have been out long enough by now. And it would certainly help to know details in considering the situation you're talking about. Even without knowing details though, I'm fairly confident there was no intention to deliberately or m...

Re: mRPG and AFF

That looks pretty cool. I will definitely take a look. The thing that appealed to me about mRPG is that it's really easy to learn how to use; but that's because it's very feature-lite. It's basically an RPG-oriented chat client, with dice-rolling, customisable character sheets, that sort o...

I'm currently using tabletop simulator.
It requires quite a bit of your own work though.
I've not heard of that one - I'll have to have a look.

How do you find it works for AFF?

So far it''s forced the sorcerer to cast more spells. :)
That's interesting. What spells has the sorcerer cast that he wouldn't have otherwise?

Re: WOFTM. Use OOTP stats or WOFTM stats?

I guess some changes do have to be made when converting an adventure from gamebook to multi-player AFF format, for the reasons you list in your other thread on WoFTM. It's one of the reasons why when I'm putting together my own adventures, I use the Pit books as a rough guide to the monsters only. I...

Re: WOFTM session. Fun stuff an Analysis.

I'm a little tired but wanted to write this, I'm hoping it reads properly and that my thoughts are clearly understood. If I messed up my notions somewhere and call me on it. I'll comeback after and fix it. No worries darksoul, that all made sense. I think you may well be right about the number of d...

Re: WOFTM session. Fun stuff an Analysis.

Yes, if we wanted, it would be possible to create a fairly neat progression of adventures - from novice to experienced and powerful Heroes - from the already published range of FF gamebooks. I would really love to see that happen. We already have WoFTM and the Sorcery! campaign; and there are D20 ve...

Any particular monsters we want to see for the Pit section of this issue? Tempted to go completely non-canon and do something totally new for some obscure corner of Titan.
Obviously Graham and Bifford have final say, but I do like obscure.

Re: WOFTM session. Fun stuff an Analysis.

That's a good point. It's worth remembering that in most of the FF gamebooks you are assumed to be an already fairly well-established adventurer. Transporting adventures from gamebook to AFF adventure, the difficulties either need to be toned down to make them suitable for beginning characters, or t...
