Re: Declare actions and combat options.
I prefer declaring actions first, including declaring the specific combat option; but not necessarily enforcing a character carrying out their declared action. If there are conflicts between different character's actions, I deal with them on a case-by-case basis. For example, if one Hero declares he...

Re: AFF Fanzine (AFFFZ?)
I think themes could work. As long as we don't make them too restrictive or narrow, it could help with generating article ideas, or guiding what articles we group together. The proposed theme for the first issue is good - trying to make the game as accessible as possible for everyone. The only thing...

Re: WOFTM session. Fun stuff an Analysis.
That is hysterical. I guess if the party are desperate enough, eating orcs is an option. I don't think they're poisonous, but I'm pretty sure they don't taste very nice (as Smeagol would confirm). Maybe the viability of eating orc (and other forms of Titanic life) could be the subject of an ar...

Re: mRPG and AFF
Cool, thanks for the reply, Graham. I've not looked at Fantasy Grounds yet, but I've heard a few good things about it from other people too. Trying to find people to game with in person is pretty difficult where I am, so I'm slowly warming myself up to the idea of online games. If anyone has any com...

Hey danaxbraga, welcome!danaxbraga wrote: ↑Wed Aug 21, 2019 5:46 amhi! I'm new here. I saw a post that Bifford did about this and I'm an artist, I'd love to contribute with some art
Thanks so much for the offer to contribute. Bifford has final say as he's the editor, but would you mind sharing some examples of your work?

mRPG and AFF
Hey, has anyone tried using the mRPG app for Android or Apple to run AFF games online? I've been tinkering about with it and it looks pretty neat, I'm just not sure how practical it is. Anyone have any experience. and if so, what are your thoughts?

Re: Would you show NPC stats?
While running RPG's I try to get players to find information themselves but I've noticed that giving information to players make them struggle to make a decision. In this case I've decided to only reveal SKILL and STAMINA as stats and not spell lists or talents. Having a player struggle on deciding...

Re: AFF Fanzine (AFFFZ?)
Fantastic to have Andrew Wright on board, too! As long as we don't distract you from writing more Pit books. :P Okay, I have to hit the hay - it's bedtime here in the Isles of the Dawn. Besides, my internet connection is being slower than a giant slug and I'm about to throw something at my laptop. B...

Re: AFF Fanzine (AFFFZ?)
Wow Graham, those mock-ups look great! I also like The Warlock Returns as a title. A nice hint of continuation... Of Bifford's suggestions, The Blacksand Gazette would also get my vote. I quite like The Homonculus ; but really, you didn't want to go with The Muck Demon (p. 37 DoD)? :P Thanks for the...

Re: AFF Fanzine (AFFFZ?)
If Bifford and one other could take on the role of Editor and then we get volunteers to manage each section, that would be good. Like I said, I don't know anything about being an editor, but I'm happy to help Bifford with the proof-reading and such, if that lightens the load a bit. And the magazine...

Re: AFF Fanzine (AFFFZ?)
The Total Amiga magazine really is impressive - do we think we can produce something like that? Unfortunately I don't know jack about desktop publishing, so I've no idea what is within our reach. If that's beyond us at the moment, I do think the most important thing is quality of content. So as long...

Re: Looking for player
Hey darksoul, sorry for not replying earlier. It would have been an interesting opportunity, but unfortunately your game would take place at about 9:30 AM Monday where I am, and I don't think my boss would take too kindly to me gaming during office hours. Glad you found a player, and hope your...

Re: AFF Fanzine (AFFFZ?)
Okay, so I know we're still waiting for official approval, but I think we can start gathering together our ideas about what to include in the zine. It might be helpful to tentatively outline some sections for the magazine, based on the items people have suggested so far. Something like (in no partic...
