Free RPG product good for AFF

Postby SkinnyOrc » Sat Feb 04, 2017 1:12 am

I just picked up the freebie of the week from DriveThruRPG and it looks like a good fit for AFF. It's a d20 short adventure from Roan Studio called Blood in the Snow and I'm very impressed with the artist. Best to grab it now if you're interested because they're sometimes only free for the week.

If anyone finds something else like this maybe add it here.

I just had a quick scan over it at breakfast, looks great with nice maps, I was going to run the Trapvain scenarios I converted awhile back, this could fit nice with them, the ferry could stop at winterton for a few days on it's way back to Fang

That reminds me, I read most of the Trapvain stuff over Xmas and enjoyed it. It's nice mix of a sandbox setting and short plotted adventures. I'll read the last bit and dig out the thread for it.

Yeh,I am going to have the party become trappers for awhile, they can learn some skills and cash and get into some random adventures in the wild  I will do a few updates and post it again as one package soon.

Pretty much everything from the guys that do those last two seems to be free or pay what you want. Haven't had a chance to check out how useful it all is yet though. http://www.drivethrurpg.com/browse/pub/6654/3-Toadstools

Dyson Logos does a lot of 'maps' on his page, its worth hunting around on there for more than I have linked here.

Just looking through Dyson's unstocked maps can give you ideas for adventures. I also like the way he often mixes the usual grid layout with sections of natural caverns or avoids it completely.

Its good stuff isn't it? Old school but thats not a bad thing at all, like you say they're very approachable to drop into play.
