More Adventure Objectives!

Adventure Objective Table (2d6)
2 .......... rescue princess/maiden in distress
3 .......... kill traitor/spy
4 .......... find hermit/sage
5 .......... recover magic item
6 .......... slay bandit lord
7 .......... recover treasure
8 .......... rescue village hostages
9 .......... destroy evil temple/shrine
10 .......... find lost/kidnapped person
11 .......... find disease cure
12 .......... kill sworn enemy


Time to brainstorm some extra adventure objectives!

Defend poor village from savage marauders (The Magnificent Seven).
Find out what slaughtered an earlier band of mercenaries in a remote, inhospitable part of the world (Predator).
Hunt an enemy ship and try to capture it as a prize. (Master and Commander). I figure AFF needs some more nautical adventure material. :)

Anyone else have some great ideas for more adventure hooks?

"Transport something awkward, fragile, or volatile across hostile terrain." As you were looking to movies for inspiration, I figure the archetypical example here would be Wages of Fear.

It doesn't necessarily have to be movies. It could be pretty much any source. I was just trying to get the proverbial ball rolling. 8)

Try and destroy a sentient artefact of pure evil before it obliterates the universe (the Loc-Nar of the movie Heavy Metal).

Survive the infestation of a settlement by evil plant-people who copy the original inhabitants. (Invasion of the Body Snatchers).
