Favourite God (cannon or not)

Postby Lorian » Sat Jul 08, 2017 5:40 pm

I have been wondering, in the world of Titan what is your favourite God, it can be one that already exists or one that you think would be cool.

Non canon Loki is extremely similar to canon Logaan.
I think that everybody that played Sorcery! becomes a bit partial to Libra... :)

yup thinking about it Canon Libra as you say due to Sorcery. Logan/ Loki agree with that too though I think Loki can be more Malevolent especially as Ragnorok approaches But if you read Rune Mark and Rune light by Joanne Harris He's very Logan and also very humorous too. Well worth a read :D

In canon, I really like the morally grey nature of Sukh and the Animal Gods.

another non Canon the Many faced god from game of thrones. Though he faceless men are Assassins I think they are grey in outlook neither good nor bad and do as directed by their tennets.

Great ideas!
He just sits there tapping away all day on a tiny screen. But he tells everyone that he is slaying Orcs.

It's got to be Logaan, if only because he's so active on Titan, and so is a source for adventure and quite deliberate intervention in the lives of the PCs. And it's not just the Riddling Reaver; we also meet an agent of the Trickster in Dead of Night - a woman whose face is painted half white and half black. I can't remember if she had a name. As someone said on another thread, one way to rationalise Allansia is that it can only exist (survive?) thanks to the existence of Adventurers (capital A) - certainly Deathtrap Dungeon, magic shops, etc. suggest that being an Adventurer is a 'thing'. Logaan seems to be a god who is interested in Adventurers as Adventurers, not just in keeping the Balance by defeating powerful manifestations of Chaos and Evil, but in their ability to upset things, AND as a source of amusement - who else has an interest in scattering whimsical magic about the oddest places?

I agree. They are pretty awseome.

A lot of the ancient pantheons have great stories amongst them, particularly the Egyptian and Greek gods. I especially like the idea of the gods being petty flawed characters that just happen to have a lot of power, like the Greek gods.
