Another question that has probably been answered already, but-
Do you include points in the Magic-Minor Special Skill in your Magic Points calculation? Page 33 says you do, but page 67, the Magic chapter, says no, only MAGIC and
Magic-Wizardry count.
Looking forward to a clarification.

Re: Magic-Minor and Magic Points
You only include the Magic-Wizardry. This represents their greater training in managing magical energy compared to Sorcerers who use their inner life force or people only using minor magic who've just picked up a few tricks.

Thanks. It makes complete sense and I'm happy to go with that for my MAGIC 1 Minor Magician. I just saw the contradiction and wanted to check.HedgeWizard wrote: ↑Fri May 25, 2018 11:38 amYou only include the Magic-Wizardry. Re: Magic-Minor and Magic Points
This is from the AFF2 rulebook errata PDF:
Page 33: Final Paragraph
Should read: “A Hero receives 2 MP for every point in the
MAGIC characteristic and Magic-Wizardry special skills.“
Not sure where the errata doc can be found these days, it used to be on the Arion Games website.

Re: Magic-Minor and Magic Points
This might shake things up a bit, but i think the Stellar Adventures rules are simpler and get around this problem. In Stellar adventures, your PSI points are 3x you Psionics score and does not include special skills. This could be incorporated with MAGIC and Magic Points where your Magic Points is 3x your MAGIC score and it doesn't matter what skills you have.

Re: Magic-Minor and Magic Points
You could even use the Stella Adventures spell lists (with the exception of a few specific ones) instead of the Wizard and Sorcery lists if you want something quick and easy. But I would still keep the minor magic as it is.
I might be trying this soon as well.
