Rhinomen!

Post by Nuvole! » Sat Jan 26, 2013 6:35 pm

A race that I find very typical of AFF (at least I haven't found it anywhere else...) is the Rhinoman.
I'm OK with it being a kind of cheap mercenary race, as greed, not very bright and not too strong, but I'm not aware if there is further flavor or information about them.
This could be considered a signature race of the setting, after all...

They are one of the races used as an example in the race creation section, and when i ran a con game a few months ago i had a Rhinoman warrior as one of the pre-gens!

I've always like Rhinomen; they are very different but very easy to picture at the same time.

I'd imagine Rhinomen worship the Beast Lord of rhinoceroses (who I don't think has been named in canon). On the other hand a Rhinoman priest (or priestess) who followed Telak could be a lot of fun.

Do they come originally from a particular regior or are they spread a bit all over?

According to Titannica they are "most common in the wildest parts of Allansia" and "it is unknown whether or not there are any Rhinomen on The Old World or Khul".
