HONOUR

The HONOUR stat is featured in some of the game books and perhaps it could in AFF

HONOUR
HONOUR is an optional characteristic for noble Heroes, such as Samurai, Templars or Knights. It measures a characters moral convictions, courage and determination. However HONOUR is double-edged- those Heroes with it must uphold their high ideals or lose HONOUR points . For Samurai, losing all of their HONOUR will result in Sepukku, with the character ending their life. Templars will be ejected from a religious order, while Knights lose the support of a patron.
In game terms, HONOUR may be tested for in the same manner as LUCK when resisting magic and affects, except that it is not reduced each time it is tested. However, you cannot use HONOUR to increase or reduce damage in combat- such actions would be dishonourable in themselves! During character generation, a honourable character starts with 4 HONOUR and may use their starting points to increase HONOUR (up to 7). However the Director will need to keep a careful eye on the Heroes actions. If they fail to act accordingly with those of their beliefs or code of honour, the Director may reduce HONOUR by 1 to 3 points. This can include lying, cheating, attacking unarmed foes, committing a criminal offence and anything that goes against the Heroes beliefs and codes of moral conduct. In addition, unlike LUCK, there are no Potions of Honour. Heroes will need to perform exceptionally acts of valour to recover lost HONOUR - such as vanquishing an evil lord. Such rewards should be rare however - the players will need to be mindful or acting against their moral code!
