Taking living costs off is a good idea. It's been pointed out before that while treasure in AFF is low the living costs in the book are pretty high, something like 60gp per character for a week if they have a horse. That's not living the high life (which some characters might want to do whenever they can afford it) or counting things like tolls to enter a city or use a bridge. So if a 4 character party is getting through at least 240gp a week and even a tough adventure like this one earns less than 1000gp you'd quit the adventuring game. What I've suggested before is changing the prices in gp to sp and in sp to cp.
So Silver will be copper and gold will be silver, 1 silver = 10 copper, 1 gold = 10 silver that make sense and makes gold coins rare like they would be. Do you have a names for each coin

Yep I've been using:
10 copper farthings = 1 silver penny
10 silver pennies = 1 gold shilling
20 gold shillings = 1 gold sovereign

But now I've seen the price guide I posted here, http://arion-games.com/bb/viewtopic.php ... 5907#p5907, I'm wondering if it'd be better like this:
10 copper pennies = 1 silver shilling
10 silver shillings = 1 gold crown
20 gold crowns = 1 gold sovereign

I was trying to avoid using pound because it's still in use and so it sounds modern. But whatever you use my opinion is giving the coins names adds a bit of atmosphere.
