I am just setting up a Discord AFF server. Not much there atm.

There will be a room for the Fanzine which will eventually be locked+invite only.

Pitch 1: article giving tips and explanations on how to make great NPC’s (prepared and on the fly) which do more than tick a box but really engage players.

Pitch 2: à SA article about running an adventure on a ship, how to design ships and life on them. Taking a closer look at life in stellar navy’s and how to make adventures for crews in them.

Do you need more to move forward at this point in time?

Any idea as to an approximate date for a first issue? Or will that sort of depend on how much material has been submitted?

I the meanwhile I took another commitment, so I will bow out of issue 1 to focus on that.
Best of luck!

EDIT: so much time has passed, that I managed to come back on board and submit my introductory adventure in Arion...

I have 30 pages more proofreading to do on C&D and then I will be starting work on the zine.

I had a cool idea this morn. Treat the mag as a FF solo adventure book!!!!
Have a passage of a short game on each page with the usual "if you....goto p#, and if you.....goto p#"

Anyone fancy writing something cool???

I have no idea how to covert it into a FF adventure book. I would be up for writing more largely fluff pieces, though.

Does anyone recognise the font Graham has used for the title in the mock up? I'm currently building up the fanzine template.

Hi Bifford, this is probably a font named Durianik.

Thanks to John for locating the font I needed to match Graham's choice.

I've been trying to get the same style, but adding a straight Stroke to it doesn't appear to work so I've fallen back to my oft used second layer to use as a drop-shadow/3D effect.

Top of image = Graham's
Bottom of image = my current.

Thoughts?
Do you want mine closer to his, do you prefer mine? I won't be offended by your comments.

And why am I trying to do this? Because I am setting up the TEMPLATE for the fanzine. I need to do this so I have editorial control. And I need to be able to change the "Issue #01" regularly.

(I'm in discord sharing my screen while working on it if you wish to join in and advise).

Both of them are nice, though the one with the drop shadow style might is more crispy and clear. Slightly leaning towards your image at the end.
