What are the possibilities from Arion in 2008?

Well Graham, what is next :?:
You know me, I would love Pulp III to be next  , but that is not reasonable of course. :)
Are we receiving any other World War II figures soon? :?

Spill the beans Graham.

Any plans for more top-down figure tokens in 2008? Please say yes. :)

I do have some plans, and am thinking along the ancients line. Something not so far represented well in counters.

What else Graham?
We are all just dying to know.

Well, in no particular order, this year will see Giants, Cyberpunk, Post-Apocalyptics, Modern Civs 2, Pulp 3, and another WW2, still to be decided. And of course, several more.....

All right!
Now there is a group of figures one could really use.

Of course Pulp III is always welcome news.
As if that is any sort of a shock?
There are several figures I can use there.

Hopefully, the WWII set will be for one of the Allied factions since we already have one of the Axis factions, right Graham?
Are we looking at multiple WWII sets this year?
Maybe?
My vote would be the Americans if we get only one set.
Is that a shock either?

More Modern Civilians is always good!

Which direction are you going with the Post-Apocalyptics?
There are a few out there.

As far as the Giants set, are you also doing Biblical ones like Goliath of Gath and his comrades or is that yet to be given in a second Biblical set?
Not too often do you see a guy that is 10+ feet tall and has 12 fingers and 12 toes.

The rest of the sets sound like they can be useful.

Newbie here who is SO fired up about these miniatures! I've been waiting for something like this for quite sometime.

I'm a big sci-fi RPGer and suitable metal minis were always hard to come by. After getting the Arion-Games Sci-Fi bundle, I'm set... :D

I print mine out (I prefer the triagonal style) on semi-gloss photo paper. The result is absolutely STUNNING.

Anyway, I don't know how viable the following ideas are for sets, but here's what I would buy in a heartbeat!

1.) "Top-down" counters of American Civil War figures: Set:1 Yanks, Set 2: Rebs, Set 3: Cavalry, Set 4: Artillery...who knows? I know a whole market of ACW miniature players who would LOVE to have paper miniatures to represent their stands instead of metal minis. These would be immediately compatible with any ACW rule sets ("Johnny Reb", "Fire and Fury") because they can be adjusted to any scale with ease by the end-user. I'd absolutely love to see these.

2.) "B" Movie Sci-Fi: 50s and 60s sci-fi figs like astronaunts with domed helments and silver suits; bulky robots; scientists with buzz cuts, black-rimmed glasses and pocket protectors, etc. Think "Lost in Space" meets "The Day the Earth Stood Still" meets "Forbidden Planet". I know some of this has been done already. Maybe others would know what else to include in such a set.

3.) Gothic Horror: something suitable for 1700s (1764 is considered the "start" of the Gothic era) to the Victorian era. Think TSR's Ravenloft.

4.) Allied Powers: if there's a WWII Germans set, there should be a set with WWII Ruskies, Yanks and Brits!

Welcome Lee from a fellow appreciative Arion customer.
It is always nice to see new players here.

Where are you Lee?
You did not fill out your profile.

I use photo paper too, High Gloss or Matte depending on the need.

I wholeheartedly support your desire for more WWII figures.
Need someone to take those Germans down a notch or two!

It is great hearing from a new Arion user.
Hope to hear more from you.

:D In my excitement to post, I failed to realize I was still "bare" profile-wise.

Yep, I'm caught hook, line and sinker on these darlings! I followed the advice in the instructions found for the paper miniatures and use Powerpoint to resize them to my liking (I like them a bit larger). I can also use Powerpoint to make and save "sheets" of miniatures. Thus, if I want seven of the same type, I can't whip them right up! Of course, I'm sure this is old news to everyone. It's just that the product is golden!

Yeah, the photo paper finish just really makes these things pop. Another benefit of this paper is that it is thick and works well for this type of thing. BTW, Graham your free set "Medieval Court" was well worth the effort, for it snagged me and my recent flurry of purchases

While I don't have every set (the Biblical & Ancients are not much use for me for my current gaming needs- except for the Egyptian sets), I have most of them and they are superb! I'll be able to use every set Graham listed in his post in this thread!

In other words, I'll probably buy anything you put out, Graham!

Glad to see customers are happy, it makes my day!

I do have an American Civil war set in the pipeline for later this year, and making them into counters is fairly straighforward.

The Pulp sci fi set has much of what you listed there for the B movies, but as it is fairly popular, i will almost certainly do another. I think there is a space gorilla in the bonus area as well!

Gothic Horror. Now i hadn't really thought of that, but i have been watching "City of vice" recently and it has certainly got me wanting to do some Georgian type figures with Tricorn hats etc....

There will definately be some allied figures by the spring. This partly depends on available models, and i am split between British (for obvious reasons) and US......

Of course, any and all suggestions welcomed, and i will try to get as many done as soon as possible.

That is good; otherwise, we would all drive you crazy then.

I guess, we can bear with if you insist on doing the Tommys before the Joes.
If you insist.
<grin>

And you will clone yourself as well too, right?
One for the wife and child, one for the sheep, one for the real job, one for the contracts, one for the requests here, one for the ..., right?
I probably left out two or three clones.

Graham, we all thank you for the great efforts you make for us.
Please, always feel that you are appreciated.

Excellent. I've got a bunch of people interested in using my Battlegrounds software for running (virtual) tabletop miniatures battles, so I suspect an Ancients line will do rather well. Any progress on this, yet?

I would prefer to see a US set but how about an allied set that uses both US and British troops?

The ancients counters are in the planning stage, so give them a month or two and there should be some product available for testing.

As for the WWII sets, i will probably keep brits and americans separate, because i think that gives a little more flexibility, but also means i can create enough general and specialist figures to create units of either.

Lots on at the moment, so keep your eyes peeled!
