The Floating Dungeon of Varrak Aslur

Post by FarsightBlogger » Mon Feb 05, 2018 7:28 pm

Hi everyone - I'm Jonathan Hicks and I contributed to the AFF book 'Stellar Adventures', but Arion Games has also just released my first AFF adventure 'The Floating Dungeon of Varrak Aslur'.

'The town of Chalice is in danger from a very unexpected source: A Floating Dungeon!

This new self-contained adventure for Advanced Fighting Fantasy 2nd Ed sends the Heroes into this unusual dungeon to stop the rain of undead overwhelming the Allansian town. What could be up there and can the Heroes stop it?'

I've got other adventures in the pipeline - if Arion Games sees fit to publish them, of course! - so I hope to have a steady stream of adventures over the next few months.

If you have any questions, thoughts or opinions I'll be happy to answer as and when I can.

Sounds great!
Hopefully this will be the first of a long list of new Allansian adventures!

That's my plan - there's already a second adventure waiting to go and I'm working on a third, much larger one. Hopefully I'll get a few done this year.

If anyone has any ideas or suggestions for types of adventures or locations then let me know - I have a few ideas queued up to explore and write but I'd love to hear what people want so that I can create suitable adventures.

Actually I think that Chalice is a bit the starting place for al adventures in Allansia, so you started from the right place :)
I think it would be interesting adventuring in Salmons as well...

I've done a lot of adventuring in Allansia and the adventures I'm writing reflect that. I love it there, it's my FF favourite location by far, but I've been looking at other places such as Khul and Hachiman to get some variety. It might be worth looking at creating a globe-trotting adventure that covers lots of different places but that'd take a lot of work.

It's something worth thinking about, but an epic journey means an epic quest which means an epic situation, and I'm not sure I can make that much of an impact on the setting! ;)

He just sits there tapping away all day on a tiny screen. But he tells everyone that he is slaying Orcs.
