Hey Graham,

Any chance for a set or two, maybe more, of Pulp Fiction characters from the 1920s-thru 1940s?
You know, characters like:
Actor, Leading Lady, Leading Man, Starlet
Everyday Civilians, Children,
Femme Fatale, Damsel in Distress
Dazzling Socialite, Millionaire
Monstrous Henchman, Ruffian, Thug
Zeppelin Crew (not necessarily Nazis-just including them), Passenger
Ace Pilot, other aircrew, Mechanic
Scientist, Evil Genius, Mad Scientist, Inventor, Pirate
Adventurer, Vigilante, Smuggler
Soldiers (American, British, Japanese, Chinese, Nazis, Soviet, etc.)
Those are to only provide a few examples of possible characters.
With gender neutral ones, please provide both genders.

So how about it?

As it happens, the next commercial set will a 20's set with many of those you mentioned. Before that we will be putting a free set on RPGNow (probably before xmas), but just after new year we should have that pulp set out.
After that will come another couple of sci-fi sets, which will complete the sci-fi bundle.

Keep an eye on these boards for more news.

Can we please make it more of a '30s set rather than '20s?
That would fit in better with some of the games I play including Crimson Skies RPG which hooks into the old FASA version Crimson Skies and Crimson Skies Aces which connects with Crimson Skies CMG.
Plus, is there any chance at vehicles such as a '33 or '36 Ford Woody Wagon, '33 Ford Roadster, a '37 Cord Cabriolet, '34 Buick Sedan, '35 Chevrolet Coupe, '33 Chevrolet Delivery Sedan, '32 Auburn Speedster, '32 Packard Sport Phaeton and/or '31 Cadillac Victoria Coupe?

Anyway Graham, the '30s were much more of a time that I have heard most of the Pulp games set in.
Between The Depression, the end of Prohibition, the world being in upheaval because of Hitler, the Japanese and others plus the radical improvements in technology, the '30s seems to be much more intersting of a decade than the '20s so therefore there seems to be more Pulp games set during the decade of the '30s.

Some people say what's the dif between the '20s and the '30s.
Fashion really changed so you can see the difference easily.
Additionally, there was a serious advancements in aviation, automotive and weapons technology during the middle '30s.

Hope we can do the '30s rather than the '20s Graham.

You are quite right, pulp is much more 30's. What i will try and do is a set that will look 30's, but be as useable as possible for 20's as well. I will try and put a couple of sample images here within the next couple of days to get some feedback.

Why is it only 20% off at the YourGamesNow store?
Why not 20% off at RPGNow as well?
May we have a such coupon for use at RPGNow as well?

The new store at YGN is something we have been involved in since before it officially opened, and in addition to having the cream of pdf publishers, it is run as a co-operative, with all major decisions decided by the members. We feel that it will be a major player in the games sales market in the future.
However, because it has only just opened, it still has a fairly small number of regular customers. To this end, we at Arion Games are trying to promote it, and get more people aware of its existence and buying its products.
We will in time offer an RPGNow coupon, for those that prefer to buy this set from there. Whether you choose to buy from there or not, we would encourage all of our customers to at least take a look, and let us know what you think.

Since you gave YGN such an endorsement Graham AND I got a bit impatient for this set, I went ahead and bought the set there with the existing coupon.
That is not to say you should not do an RPGNow coupon; there may be others less impatient who do want to buy it there.

Set look great.
There always could be more different figures, but compared to some out there including PIG's 2 pulp sets, yours takes the prize!
Thank you.

Any chance of a Pulp 2 soon?
There are no American soldiers or sailors plus no foreign gangsters, etc. in this set.

We do have plans for another Pulp set, later on this year, and all suggestions will be used (where practical).
As for an RPGNow coupon, keep an eye on these boards for more on that!

Reviewing your Pulp set, you have only one bad fig in it Graham.
Lara Croft is a modern character, not '20s,'30s,'40s Pulp.
Your female explorer needs a lot more clothes!

Well Graham, since you are taking suggestions for future Pulp figures, here is my list of figures of what is still needed:

3x Pilot, Tail Gunner, Pilot Sidekick
1 Aviatrix (obvious & flamboyant)[Someone more like Jackie Cochran NOT Amelia Earheart]
2x Air Pirate (Ruffian looking pilots)
2x Smuggler (male/female)
6x Children (boy/girl - upper/middle/lower class pairs){Then you could also add sets of various non-Caucasian ethnicities}
2x Mechanic (male/female)
2x Actor/Actress (made obvious by their clothes)
2x Leading Lady/Man (made obvious by their clothes)
2x Dazzling Socialite/Millionaire Man (made obvious by their clothes)
5x Femme Fatale (Western European, Eastern European, Asian, Nubian Black, Latin)
2x Damsel in Distress (body posture)
2x Reporter (male/female)
1x Sergeant (American InterWar Uniform)[sidearm]{British, German & French too please}
3x Soldier (American InterWar Uniform)[2 Rifle, 1BAR]{British, German & French too please}
Zeppelin Captain
Zeppelin Steward
Zeppelin Rigger
Flying Boat Captain
Flying Boat Crew
Flying Boat Stewardess
Monstrous Henchman
Inventor
Evil Genius
Mad Scientist
Nun
Priest
Variety of Asian Criminals
Variety of Arab Criminals
Variety of Nazi Special Agents

Actually with the soldiers, you could always do an InterWar Period Soldier set.

I can use almost all of these figures during the average adventure if it involves a trip to a foreign land via a zeppelin or Flying Boat.

Any chance for a Flying Boat Aeroplane?
Boeing, Martin, Sunderland and Short had decent designs.
I think we see Martins or Boeings more often at the cinema.

A Cord Luxery Sports Sedan would be great!
Also, I believe Aston had their first sweet little two-seater during this time period.
A Ford Woody Panel truck would be great too.
There are a few other vehicles too, but I cannot remember which ones exactly.

Well, this list is with only a little bit of thinking.
Looks like three or more Pulp sets.
That would be great Graham.
I am sure I can come up with more fairly generic figures after a few more adventures.
